CONTEMPORARY FATIGUE

ROTOL（ロトル）は、「ROOT＝継承・歴史」と「TOOL＝道具」を掛け合わせた造語。
「現代の日常生活における戦闘服」をコンセプトに、伝統的な手法と現代の技術を融合し、現代に適したユニフォームウェアを提案する。
装飾と機能、用途と意匠を軸に、パターン、素材、製造背景を組み合わせ、実用性と造形性を両立した、現代のための道具としての衣服を設計する。
「戦闘服」とは、単に身体を守るための機能服を指すものではない。
衣服を身にまとうことで意識を切り替え、自分自身の輪郭を整え、日常に向き合うための精神的な装備を意味する。

ROTOL is a coined name combining “ROOT,” signifying heritage and history, with “TOOL,” an object made for use.

Built around the concept of “combat wear for contemporary everyday life,” ROTOL combines traditional techniques with modern technology to propose uniform wear suited to the present day.

Working between decoration and function, purpose and form, the brand brings together pattern cutting, materials, and methods of production to design clothing as tools for contemporary life—balancing utility with sculptural form.

“Combat wear” does not simply refer to functional clothing designed to protect the body. It represents a form of mental armor: clothing that shifts the wearer’s state of mind, brings the self into focus, and equips them to face everyday life.
